Meeting Mandy and Gill from Larf

When we first went down to Truro to meet with Mandy and Gill, we were unsure of how the meeting would go.

It seemed strange that we were having our meeting in a coffee shop/ bar instead of corporate offices, but thats the thing Larf Cornwall is a small Cornish Charity that was set up by two sets of parents who wanted to make a difference to the Children and young adults who needed the help with the transition from pediatric to adults in the hospital.

The coffee shop/ bar is the head office for Larf Cornwall, this is and was the livelihood of Mandy Hoare before her Daughter Lauren was diagnosed with Cancer.

Inside is such a relaxing atmosphere that we started to chill out in.

Once we got talking with Mandy and Gill we started to feel the passion, determination and emotions shine through from just these two Ladies.

Mandy told us how Lauren was diagnosed with Cancer and also the stories of how Lauren dealt with the diagnosis and also how close she became to Rosie just from their time in hospital.

We then spoke about what plans we had going forward with this walk as well as ideas for more fundraisers.

We left our Meeting with a greater understanding as well a new found determination to help spread the message of this Cornish Charity to as many people as possible.
